Current Professional Experience

Chief Executive Officer – The Columbia Board of REALTORS® is a professional association with about 550 REALTOR® members.  The Association serves as the organizational structure for the Columbia community and regional area of real estate professionals including licensed agents, Lenders, Title Insurance Professionals, Builders and Home Inspectors.  The Association provides real estate services such as dispute resolution, code of ethics enforcement, continuing education programs, legislative monitoring, Multiple Listing Services and technology services for its members and the community. 

Things we are working on

Accountability and transparancy are our guiding principals and helping our members thrive in the current economic conditions.To that end we:

Have started broadcating MLS Tour meetings on the internet to members

Starting weekly "RealEstate This Week" show in mid-May (live internet broadcast at to let members and the public know what is happening at the Board.

Formatted a Member-only statistical information package to analyze our local market to help members effectively communicate positive information to their clients.

Created Board-endorsed Public Policy manual which provides a framework to allow position statements and rapid endorsement of vital public issues

Provided 13-language websites to all members enabling them to embrace emerging markets

Created “We ‘R’ Columbia” public relations campaign to enhance our REALTOR® image by featuring existing member civic involvement and demographics. 

Launching in mid-May 2009 to lessen out-of-pocket expenses for advertising property for members

Created “New Development Day” at annual meeting to showcase new properties and to promote attendance and participation.
